Full slate of candidates for 2025 ANS leadership positions

At the end of 2024, the candidates for the annual American Nuclear Society election were announced. Since then, Catherine Prat, an ANS member since 2012, launched a successful write-in campaign to be considered for a seat on the Board of Directors. Having received at least 200 signatures from Society members in favor of her nomination, Prat is now a candidate by petition, bringing the total number on the ballot to 18 candidates who have been nominated for the positions of ANS vice president/president-elect, treasurer, and six board positions (four U.S. directors, one non-U.S. director, and one student director). Ballots will be sent via email on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, and must be submitted by 1:00 p.m. (EDT) on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

With the annual American Nuclear Society election right around the corner, ANS members will be going to the polls to vote for a vice president/president-elect, treasurer, and members-at-large for the board of directors. The 2023 American Nuclear Society election is underway. All ANS members are eligible to vote on the open leadership positions. To help members get to know who is in the running, Nuclear Newswire published an article spotlighting the candidates for the ANS vice president and the treasurer positions: ans.org/news/article-4775. Completed ballots must be submitted by 1:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, April 11.

Candidates announced for the 2023 ANS national election

With the national midterms coming to a close, the last word members want to hear is "election"—but at least the annual ANS election won't result in unending political adverts on our televisions. As one election cycle ends, so another begins. The candidates for the ANS 2023 election have been named to fill eight open positions, with terms beginning in June 2023, following the Annual Meeting. The national positions open are for vice president/president-elect, treasurer, four directors, one student director, and one non-U.S. director.
